the best empanadas !! my friends and i split like every flavor and there were no bad ones whatsoever- we agreed that the impossible one surprised us by being one of our top favs !! also the mofongo and other sides were delicious- love all the sauces they came with. victoria is such a sweet and kind owner♡ and all of the desserts were so fun and the new peach cobbler empanadas were amazing☆ (only took a pic of desserts sorry):

Buena Compania Empanadilla serves up delicious, flavorful Puerto Rican cuisine with superb service at a fair price. I love when I can get food and the price, quality, and quantity all balance out to where everybody wins. Victoria and Misa are absolutely amazing people making phenomenal food, and I have yet had something from them that I did not thoroughly enjoy. Their standard menu is delicious, but definitely keep an eye out for their specials because they should not be missed. They try to have a vegetarian/vegan option available as often as possible (besides the Mofongo by itself or the plantains in other forms) and really put a lot of love into their cooking, and it shows! If you see them around town, or serving up the deliciousness at their home base at Wind & Waves, be sure to stop by and give them a try.

Oh, and for those who love spice flavor but are wary of spice heat, don't worry, their food is fire but your mouth won't be.

Buena compania has been my favorite empanada experience since my last visit to Puerto Rico. All of the food is incredibly authentic and delicious. Besides the great tasting food, Victoria’s hospitality alone is enough to keep me coming back! This is a must try on your next visit into Charleston. You won’t regret it!!!

tried these from the food truck, and found the product to be quite greasy and soggy. did not have the fresh taste of what you'd expect from a food truck operator. prices were expensive for what was received. I would not go back for these again, I was hopeful because I love empanadas but this was a miss.

Buena is the best of the best!! Good, authentic Puerto Rican food can be hard to come by in Charleston & they knock it out of the park every time!! Every time I’ve been they have rotating specials and their customer service is top tier

I had always heard of mufungo but never got the chance to get it until yesterday. It blew my socks off, I chose the traditional route first with the pork. We’ve always loved everyone of their empanadas, the rice and beans are delish, their fries have this crispy outter shell and soft on the inside. I just can’t say enough good thing about this place and the kind folks who run it. Five stars all around . Cheers!
