Very frustrating some teachers are very helpful others have attitudes like they don't want to teach. My son gets confused with information and 2 teachers in particular tend to have attitudes when approached for clarity. Worst school year ever. Hoping next year will be better.

If you care about the quality of your child’s education, don’t come here. The school administration does act in the best interest of individual students, every action they take is based on limited resources and convenience. They have a bus shortage and no working system to notify families the bus is an hour late. I’ve seen bus speeding and have submitted complaints to no avail. When you try to advocate for your child they will defend their lackadaisical position and not meet you half way. The principal could change this but she clearly perpetuates it. Counselors lack sensitivity training and attempt to conduct confidential conversations in the front office. Ive seen teachers dressed inappropriately rocking Trump 2020 shirts, while the students are in uniform. I’ve seen teachers plug the wrong grades into the system, and I’ve seen other teachers allow students to fail or clearly show signs of needing support and make zero effort to involve parents. When they do involve parents it is not to seek solutions, but instead to push their opinions instead of open sharing of information. Counselors, APs, and even the principal are not transparent and they discourage involvement from parents and ignore major concerns. They will send text messages or snail mail when a call is appropriate. Every child deserves better than Accokeek Academy. Maybe not the worst but definitely at the bottom. The culture at this school is to defend the status quo instead of being open to improvement.

My child has had a great experience so far at Accokeek Academy. He was blessed with some awesome teachers, Mrs. Ainerua (K) and Mrs. Jones (1st)! I really appreciate both of these ladies as well as their aides! You have made a positive difference in my child's life and your sacrifices haven't gone unnoticed! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Needs separate phone numbers for upper and lower level. You have to call to get transferred... It's hard to get in touch with any staff when needed because they hardly ever answer.
Very concerning when you can't get a hold of the people who have your child.

Its a great school , you will get some good education there and grow up and be smart like them . This is the best school in Maryland . 5 stars for this school

I went here about 3-5 years ago the school wasn’t really all that nice most of the teachers and administrators were rude. I have been at this school before they changed the buildings and doesn’t really deserve all of the hype.

I've been here since 3rd grade I'm still going to the school but the kids there are low-key bullies and some teachers don't even watch the children
