The Bartending Training Institute in North Hollywood is one of, if not THE best place to get the training and certifications needed to become a bartender in Los Angeles. As I’m approaching my final exam, I’ve learned so much vital information that I needed behind the bar.

Lou and Gerry are amazing teachers. Though they may be intense and harsh at times, they will prep you for the intensity that comes with the industry. If you’re a visual or hands on learner, the setup they have will help you learn quickly and efficiently! You can finish training in 6 weeks at the latest, or at the earliest 2.

Cindy is an amazing contact to have as she really does care about helping you find employment or experience before diving into the industry. Whatever you pay for tuition and fee’s, I promise they’ll help you take the steps needed to find work and make it back.

Louis is the best of the best and will teach you everything you need to know about mixing drinks, setting up the bar, knowledge about spirits and mixers and will train you to serve with speed and accuracy. Cindy Lou and Mr. G know their stuff! Lou has been in the bartending industry for years, he has worked at famous bars and invented award winning drinks and he will teach you everything he knows. Be prepared, he can be harsh, so put your big girl panties on... but it's worth it, because you don't get any bad habits and you'll be prepared for any type of person you meet in this industry. And also he WILL make you laugh. Cindy will give you life advice, career advice, and do everything she can to get you a job. Mr. G is helpful, funny, and kind. All three truly want all of their students to succeed, and they never forget a face or a name. Even students who graduated years before would drop by to say hello, which to me is a sign of a school that produces students who are glad they attended. Cindy has a huge amount of connections at bars, restaurants, catering companies, clubs, concert venues and more, and she connects everyone with all the work she can. And once you get that prized position behind the bar you'll be prepared with the knowledge of what to do from Lou and Mr. G. All of the people I knew who graduated at the same time as me were either already employed, had done several gigs, or were on their way to getting a job by the time they graduated.
