Ms Joy is the teacher and owner of this school and she cares. She really cares about her school and students. She wants the best for you. She trys to help you learn the easy ways and she cares about you after you finish her class. I recently had the pleasure of attending The Grand Strand School of Bartending. I can honestly say, my experience was great from start to finish. They went above and beyond with hands-on training to ensure I received the necessary skills to become a proficient bartender. The curriculum is well structured from learning the basics to mastering the crafting of delicious cocktail recipes. The practice I got behind the mock up bar allowed me to apply my newly acquired skills, boosting my confidence and ensuring that I was prepared to work behind an actual bar. Joy is an amazing instructor who is very knowledgeable, passionate and understanding. Her guidance absolutely elevated this entire experience. The information I received gave me a much better comprehensive understanding of real-world bartending scenarios. I highly recommend The Grand Strand School of Bartending whether you are looking to start a career in bartending or you are a seasoned bartender seeking to enhance your skills. This school is the perfect place to learn and grow. Absolutely fantastic class !! Joy is as good a teacher as you can possibly find on the Grand Strand and anywhere for that matter. It is high energy, very skilled in her craft and will teach you every aspect of Bartending during this course as well as get you TIPS Certified. The course was Fun, Educational, and was as thorough as it could possibly be. Best part about it was she led me in the right Direction and has me running one of the hottest Beach Bars in Myrtle Beach !!! I had no experience before coming to her and I found a fantastic job before the class ended !! 10 stars in my book and I would recommend anyone without experience or needs a brush up to sign up and learn from Joy !!

The class was such a fun and great learning experience! Joy was a great instructor and very sweet and supportive of each and everyone of her students. If you are thinking about wanting to become a bartender this is definitely the place to help start you out.

Absolutely one of the best and enjoyable classes I have taken in a long time. Joy made this class informative, stressed the safety aspects of it and still made the class a lot of fun. She truly cares about her students success after we complete our training.
The small classes and the instructor were absolutely fantastic.
The class builds on what you learn so by the end of the class you have a confidence to go apply for a job.
I have a greater respect for this industry and the amount of knowledge that you need to succeed in this job.
I would hands down recommend this course to anyone!

I thoroughly enjoyed this class. There's a lot of info to know, but Ms Joy is great at reading her students and making sure you know the info. She was an absolutely great instructor. If you're looking to learn bartending Grand Strand is the way to go.
