Los Angeles Ballet Academy

Our family (3 kids currently) have been at the studio for several years now. I first came because this studio had a reputation in the arts world for being the best ballet studio in west Los Angeles. They also had a boys program at the time with scholarships. We have stayed because what I heard was true and I saw for myself how amazing the teachers are. The thing that I think is the most unique, however, is the spirt of kindness that accompanies the great level of expertise. Students here are accepting of others and there is more diversity here than in most high level studios. The new directors, Ms. Tracey and Ms. Gina are devoted to the students, show such great love of ballet and teaching. I hope that the boys program will have the enrollment to come back, but even without it I wouldn't think of having my children anywhere else. Note: This is an academy which means it is a year long program. It is not a studio where you can just add and drop into classes at will. They teach the Royal Ballet curriculum and have international exams for the higher levels. Also- One of the other reviews who gave a low rating, I think is commenting on another studio as the people they reference haven't been with the studio.

My experience with LA Ballet Academy was amazing! When I called Iaer answer the phone on the first ring in the most pleasant voice. He told me to bring my daughter in on Saturday. I brought my daughter in Saturday morning Iaer gave my daughter and I the sweetest most welcoming welcome. He was nice, And energetic he made us feel at home. After today’s class I ended up signing my daughter up for ballet ? with LA Ballet Academy. The teachers are really nice, Iager amazing as ever, and the Facilities Are clean. I love how my daughter knows the steps already the instructor was really good at teaching my daughter so she could remember the steps when she got home. I love this ballet academy already! Please don’t believe any of the negative reviews experience it for yourself. Trust me if you decide to go with LA ballet academy you won’t regret it. Xx ?

I usually don’t review unless it’s really bad But this place is terrible I was calling and emailing this place for my daughter enrollment and the person who answer phone says she can come on Saturday but I saw website for scholarship so I thought it was great to try , if not i was gonna enroll her class start this Saturday anyways I email Andrea last week and called asking for scholarship they keep saying they will call back and never call me back so I called today cause I want my daughter start this Saturday no matter what I was willing to pay full class I called ask this lady Michelle she talk to me on the phone she said my daughter can't enroll the class and I asked her other lady told me she can every Saturday and Michelle is telling me no it's changed since yesterday no class for your kid . so this school is not for my daughter then she says yes . wow I'm glad I didn't enroll this school

For more than five years, the instructors and staff at this Studio have consistently provided quality instruction and support for our son's pursuit of dance. It is unfortunate that a few disgruntled people can have a disproportionate impact on the rating of a studio that has benefited hundreds of young people for many years.

I had been at LABA since I was 2 years old and I tried out for team every time and I never make it I didn't make it because they only except not trying to be racist but white girls, or girls with blue eyes, or with blonde hair. But if you didn't have any of that they would only except you if you had a lot of money, and I mean like living in a mansion money. I made life long friends at Los Angeles ballet academy but where I go now is called the rage they push you at the rage to your full potential. At Los Angeles ballet academy I didn't know how to do a bow and arrow, tilt, leg hold turn, , or a pitch, and at the rage I was there for a month and I know how to do all of the things I am happy where am now. If you want your kid to compete don't put them at Los Angeles ballet academy, because Los Angeles ballet academy is bad, and that will not push your kid to their full potential, I am not saying put them at rage but just don't put you kid at Los Angeles ballet academy. One more thing they have roaches! I am not joking sometimes there is some roaches crawling on the bathroom floor or dead in the bathroom, one time I decided to get ice from the fridge and there was a dead roach in the ice it was just so disgusting! Look at the photos white girls and again (not trying to be racist) and blue eyes.

I have been at the studio for over 7 years. The teachers are amazing and I cant wait for the years to come. I recommend you or your child to come to the studio. There are so many styles to choose from.

Wow. I'm very surprised to see some of the one star reviews. This school has some of the best training, teachers, and people. I never regret going to LABA. I've only been there for two years, and I absolutely love it.
