I've been taking classes for a bit now and I've not much prior knowledge on how bartending works. After taking this class I can confidently say that it's definitely a great place to learn because of the teachers like Nick & Madison, and for the price, I would say it's worth the consideration. I recommend this place if you're willing to put in the work to become a bartender.

My experience with NBS has been so much fun! I have really enjoyed my time learning the craft. I overall want to really emphasize the absolute joy I have had to have Nick as my instructor. Nick is an amazing instructor. His devotions and care for his students is unlike any other. Nick want to teach and help everyone he teaches. He makes his students a priority and it show when is teaches. he pushes for his students to succeed. he definitely pushed me to succeed. Nick is extremely helpful and is compassionate for what he does. I full heartedly would like to state that without him I would not have learn as quickly as I did. I was able to pass and thanks to him I feel confident as a bartender.

National bar staffing and school has instructors that are knowledgeable empathetic, patient and have one goal in mind. which is to create a great learning experience with the end result being a person receiving the highly coveted mixologist certification! Between Alan and Nick who have an in-depth knowledge of cocktail history including bar etiquette they created a easy to learn method in memorizing the recipes included in the school manual. Anyone looking to advance their position as a bartender to a mixologist should take this course and gain what many bartenders lack in the industry which is proper training and knowledge. Anyone can pour a drink but only graduates from NBS can create a cocktail that looks good smells good and taste great!

Transitioning from a previous career to one in bartending is easy at SD Bartending. They teach you everything you need to know about mixing cocktails, dealing with customers, working events, and the law. My favorite instructor, Alan, shares his wealth of knowledge through demonstrations and stories from his personal experience while teaching the content from their eight chapter book. He is patient and understanding, and also a longtime bartending professional, so he appeals to students that come to the school from all levels of experience. Students get tons of opportunity to practice mixing (and tasting) cocktails. One of the benefits of being a student here is you get booked to work at events in the city so you can earn money while still in school. They prepare students to pass a written test and a speed test so graduates know how to mix 150 cocktails, and can make twelve in under seven minutes. Super fun!

Best bang for your buck. Make sure to check out this school if you want to check out bartending! Great staff, friendly environment, and big focus on true mixology. Over 100 drinks to learn and a flexible schedule that would work for anyone!

Nick is an amazing teacher and someone great to work with on events. He spent so much time getting me ready to take my speed test and I knocked it our of the park because of him. Anyone who knows him says that he is their favorite bartender to work with and he is the biggest team player. Awesome guy and a great teacher.
